Valentine Roses Wreath Supplies

Fresh roses, silk roses, or paper roses measuring 1½ inches

Glue gun and glue sticks

Cardboard or Styrofoam wreath form (approximately 8 inches wide) – use a living wreath for fresh roses.

Red ribbon

Wreath hanger

Wire cutters

Acrylic craft paint (in a color similar to that of the roses)

Paintbrush

Wreath Making Directions:

1. Use the paintbrush to apply paint on the Styrofoam heart. Leave it to dry.
2. If your roses have stems, use the wire cutters to cut most of the stem, just below each flower base. Be sure to leave only the green base (or green plastic base in the case of silk roses).
3. Start placing the flowers on the painted Styrofoam wreath, starting from the inner part working outwards. Apply glue on each flower before attaching it to the wreath. You can create as many rows as you want.
4. Add flowers until the wreath frame is completely covered.
5. Fold the ribbon into a loop and place it on the wreath hanger.

After making your wreath, find the best spot and display it. The best thing about this valentine roses wreath is that it will look good anywhere. You can even place it on one of your bedroom walls!

Wreath Making Supplies:

14” Styrofoam wreath

Paint brush

600 yards of yarn – Natural Wool Yarn or for a softer wreath use Shetland Chunky Yarn

Scissors

Hot glue gun

Pom pom maker

Directions

1. Decide on which size pom poms you’d like to make. For a varying sized pom poms we recommend this helpful device. For extra large pom poms try this one.
2. Wrap the yarn around both arms of the pom pom maker till they are full.
3. Close the pom pom maker and use the scissors to cut the upper middle section of the yarn in the arms.
4. Tie two strings around the middle part of the pom pom maker and roll the device around to secure the strings.
5. Make a double knot to secure the yarn strings. Leave a long tail.
6. If you want to alternate the size of the pom poms, use pom pom makers of different sizes.
7. Using the strings, tie the pom poms to the wreath and secure them in place with the glue gun.
8. Fill in the gaps with the smaller pom poms and secure with glue.
9. Display your wreath.

1. Add a drop of glue to a wooden slice and glue the slice onto the wreath form. Continue doing the same with all the wooden slices, until you have a layer of wooden slices glued to the wreath.
2. To fill the gaps between the wooden slices, you can glue a second layer of slices onto the first layer, making sure to cover any blank spots. Another option is to fill the gaps with some artificial moss.
3. Add a burlap ribbon or any other embellishments to your wreath. You can make it seasonal by adding ornaments for a Christmas wreath or pumpkins or nuts for a Fall wreath.
4. Using a piece of twine, ribbon or a hanging hook, hang your wreath at you chosen spot.

Wreath Making Materials for Pine Wreath

Unless you want a huge pine wreath, use the 12-inch form because it will end up being twice the size of your expectation after you finish.

1. Take a hand full of pine leaves (cut at 6-inch or at a length of your desire) and bundle them together. Lay the bundle slightly diagonally on the wreath form. Then, pull the wire slightly above the cutting ends, and wrap around the bundle and frame a couple of times.
2. Make another bundle with pine leaves and place it overlapping the first. Continue wrapping with the wire.
3. Keep repeating step 2.
4. Now, lay the faux white berries on the pine leaves and attach with either glue or floral wire. Try to spread the berries evenly over every part of the wreath.
5. Add 3 to 4 jingle bells in a sporadic manner on the wreath. Attach them with glue. Choose them in silver color with a little bit of golden glitter to keep the festive mood on.
6. Make a double bow with the silk ribbon and attach it to the wreath with glue.
