Wedding Decorations: How to Make a Floral Wreath

Wedding decorations are almost as important as the bride’s gown! Wreaths aren’t just for your front door, they make perfect wedding décor. The best part is that they come in all shapes and sizes hence you can use them differently: small ones as scented aisle markers and big ones as hanging decor. You can also dress your flower girls in flower crowns. If you want to have a unique wedding, make wreaths part of your wedding decor.

Floral Wreaths Make Amazing Wedding Decorations

Floral wreaths are great because they can be used almost anywhere. Display big ones on church doors and on the gates outside the church. You can use small ones on pews and chairs. Decorate your getting ready location and the reception uniquely and you’ll be sure to wow everyone.

Wreath Making Supplies:

Artificial Flowers (fresh or artificial)

Floral foam wreath form

Artificial floral decorations (like cascading artificial eucalyptus, artificial ivy, artificial berries )

Artificial fruit for crafts (ribbons, artificial fruits)

Floral picks

Floral Wreath Directions:

  1. Soak the wreath form in water to ensure it holds the flowers firmly.
  2. Attach the foliage to the wreath form using the floral pins. Make sure it covers the wreath so the sponge isn’t visible.
  3. Add a different color of foliage to the wreath. Make sure it’s balanced on the wreath.
  4. Inert the flowers in the wreath.
  5. Use the floral picks to secure the artificial fruit to the wreath.
  6. Use your wreath as a centerpiece or display it on the front door.

Consider Using Fresh Wedding Flowers instead of Artificial

Since your wedding day only comes once, pamper yourself and use fresh wedding flowers wreaths. Visit a wholesale flower market which is fairer than florists. If there isn’t a market near you, go to your local florist and get the flowers you want. Make sure you place an order in advance so you can get the best flowers. Most florists order the same flowers so if you want something unique you have to go early.

“How to make a wreath” may be one of the most searched questions on Google, but people rarely search for wedding wreaths. This means that if you use wreaths as  your wedding decorations, everyone will remember your big day.
