Valentines Hearts Wreath Directions

1. Put the 3-inch template on the felt, mark it with painter’s chalk, and then cut the shape with scissors. Repeat the process and cut a number of circles out of the felt.
2. Fold a circle into half and then fold the half-circle again into half. Push a straight pin through the bottom of the folded circle and then stick the pin into the Styrofoam. Repeat this process until the entire wreath form is covered.
3. Remember placing each folded circle close together so that there is no visible black space in between them.
4. Leave the back of the wreath as it is because the folded felt curls are fluffy enough to cover all the visible areas of the Styrofoam from the front side.
5. Fold the piece of ribbon into a loop and pin it to the back of the wreath. Use a couple of pins so that the ribbon is strongly stuck to the form. Your wreath hanger is ready! You can also print a Valentine’s Day sentiment on patterned paper and cut it into the shape of your choice. Glue it to the wreath and see how it adds to the cuteness of the wreath!

Materials for a Patriotic Burlap Wreath

18-inch wire wreath form

Red burlap ribbon, Blue burlap ribbon, White burlap ribbon, Patriotic burlap ribbon, Stars burlap ribbon

How to Make a Patriotic Burlap Wreath Video:

Directions for a Patriotic Burlap Wreath

1. Use red burlap ribbon, blue burlap ribbon, and natural tan burlap ribbon, as it will be easier to give the wreath a patriotic touch with these colors.
2. Take the blue burlap ribbon, fold one end in thirds, and attach it to the third bar (from inside) of the frame with a piece of floral wire.
3. Your frame has nine sections distinctly separated by crossbars and each section has three openings – bottom, middle, and top. Start from the bottom opening and pull the blue ribbon through in a loop. Do the same for the other two openings.
4. After making the loop through the top opening, twist the ribbon at the bottom and make another three similar loops just next to the fist ones. Now repeat it by making a loop and pulling through the bottom, middle, and then the top opening. Keep doing this process until three successive sections are weaved with the blue ribbon. Secure the last end of the ribbon to the frame with floral wire.
5. Weave the next section of the frame with the tan burlap ribbon. After that, use red burlap for weaving the section next to it.
   Take turns with tan and red burlap ribbons until the entire frame is weaved.
   Be sure to push the loops to the side so that you can add more. It will give the wreath a fuller look. When the wreath is complete, try to fluff the loops a bit, so that the wreath looks good and full.
6. Make sure that there is no visible floral wire. Stretch or fluff the loops to cover any such visible part.
7. Glue the white stars to the blue part of the ribbon in a sporadic manner. Make a bow with the yellow ribbon and glue it too to the blue part.

Foam Wreath Form Directions (not shown in video):

1. Pin the stems to the wreath using the floral pins. Cover the upper side of the wreath with the stems. Since you’re using light colored geo mesh, the wreath frame will be easily seen if you don’t cover it.
2. Starting on one end of a stem, gather the geo mesh and pin it. Tuck in the ends of the mesh to ensure there are no strings hanging.
3. Gather about 8-10 inches of your geo mesh to make a loop then secure it with a pin. If you want a bigger loop, gather more inches; if you want a smaller one, gather fewer inches.
4. Continue making loops until you cover the entire wreath with the mesh.
5. Pin one edge of the ribbon to the back of the wreath. Roll it round the frame.
6. Affix the ornaments and trimmings on the wreath using the hot glue gun.
7. Hang your wreath on your door, wall, or fireplace.

Directions

1. The first thing you will need to do is to prepare a lot of paper roses. The amount of roses you will need depends on the size of the wreath form you have chosen. To make paper roses you will need to cut out circles from your cardstock paper. Each circle will give you one rose. You can freehand draw circles and cut them out, or use a circle template. After cutting out the circle, cut the circle into a spiral starting from the outside inwards. Now it’s time to roll the cardstock spiral into roses. To do that start rolling the paper from the outside in, keeping the rolled paper as tight as you can, until you reach the end of the spiral. You can now let it gently unroll a little bit until you have the rose look as you like it. Without touching the rose down, apply a small amount of glue to the end of the paper and attach it to the bottom of the rose to secure it. Repeat to make a lot of roses in the same way.
2. After making the roses you can proceed to make complete the wreath. You can start by wrapping the wreath form with a wide red ribbon or even spray paint it red, so you can be sure that no white spots will show between the roses.
3. Lay down the wreath form and using your hot glue gun, glue a rose anywhere on the wreath; that will be your starting point. Continue gluing one rose after another tightly to each other until you have covered all of the visible wreath form.

Directions

1. Start by wrapping the ribbon around the wreath form, covering every spot of the form. To secure the ribbon you can use floral pins at the beginning and the end of your ribbon or use a small amount of hot glue.
2. Remove any tags from your tulips. Using your wire cutter, separate the tulips from their common plastic stem base so you will end up with smaller bunches/stems of tulips.
3. Place a small bundle of tulip 3- 4 tulip stems sidewise on your wreath, so both the flowers and the stem are touching the wreath. Use a flower pin to secure it. Continue in the same direction, adding bundles next to each other until you have covered the entire wreath. You don’t need to cover the back of the wreath.
4. If you find any gaps or unfilled areas, tuck in a few stems of tulips. You can secure them if necessary with floral pins.
5. To make a hook for hanging you can use a pipe cleaner or a piece of ribbon that you tie into a loop and secure to the back of the wreath using a floral pin.

Directions for Making Flower Baskets

1. Either leave the tote bag natural or brush it with white acrylic paint or any color you like. Bright colors will give it a sprightly summer look while the white paint will lend it a bit French-flea market looking.
2. Cut one handle of the tote bag or fold it inside the bag and attach with glue. Thus, it’s now left with one handle that’ll serve as the hanger.
3. Fold the stems the length you need instead of cutting them down. In this way, you can re-use the flowers for other future projects. Layer the flowers and place them inside the bag. Add a few sticks of faux greenery as the finishing touch. You can try different combinations, colors, and shapes as it will create a more interesting look. Pull and bend the flowers either to bring them forward or to push to the back to get your desired look.

Wreath Making Directions:

1. Start by cutting the greenery and flower stems, leaving 4-5 inches of stem, so you can use it to stick the greenery and flowers into the wreath.
2. Pock a hole into each lemon. Be careful not to poke all the way through the other side of the lemon. You can add a drop of hot glue to the point where the pick enters the lemon, to secure.
3. Lay the wreath form on your work surface and start arranging your items loosely so you can find the arrangement you like. Make sure to not forget the ribbon for hanging. You will have to tie the ribbon around the wreath and make a loop for hanging before making anything else. When you are happy with how your wreath looks, insert the greenery into the wreath. You can use hot glue if needed. Next, insert the lemons, adding hot glue if necessary.

You can use other types of wreath forms as well, like foam wreath forms. Just make sure to fill in any gaps with some greenery so they don’t show.
Also, think about using fresh lemons, greenery and flowers instead of artificial ones. This will make your wreath having a wonderful fragrance, although its life span will be significantly shorter.

Pinecone Wreath Supplies:

About 40 large pinecones – size depends on size of wreath

Spring color spray paints – turquoise spray paint , light green spray paint , pink spray paint

Old newspapers (or other material to protect the surface while spray painting)

Ribbon for hanging

Wire wreath form or a wire hanger formed into a circle

Fishing line or floral wire

Wire cutters

Scissors

Hot glue gun and glue sticks (optional)

Wreath Making Directions:

1. Take the strong wire and form a round shape. Twist the ends together to secure them (if you are using a wire hanger you don’t need to twist it). Cut off any excess wire.
2. Lay down the newspaper on a surface outside. Arrange the pinecones you want to paint; it is best if they can stand up. Spray paint them making sure they are painted on all sides, even from underneath. Let them dry completely. If you don’t want to spray paint the pinecones, you can use some acrilic paint and apply some paint to the edges of the pinecones.
3. Cut a piece of fishing line or floral wire and tie it around the base of the pinecone, leaving a fair amount of string at the other end which you will use to attach the pinecone to the wire wreath form. Continue adding pinecones until you are satisfied with the result. Use some hot glue to secure the pinecones together if needed.
4. Use the ribbon for hiding the hanger and hanging the wreath.
